Q: What would you do if your phone ran out of battery?

If you’re at a restaurant and looking for a place to charge your phone, you can say:

(Excuse me, do you have an outlet here?

My phone’s about to out of battery.)

插座 outlet;

快… 了 is about to (TOCFL A grammar);

沒電 out of battery

or simply:

充電 to charge

We often ask our friends this too:

⚠️ In Taiwan, we only say 行動電源 for power bank.

Not 充電寶 (ㄔㄨㄥㄉㄧㄢˋㄅㄠˇchōngdiàn bǎo),

which is used in Mainland Chinese.

I was surprised! How nice they're!
